Holidays
Terminix recognizes six paid holidays per year:

  • New Years Day
  • Fourth of July
  • Thanksgiving Day

Group health insurance

New employees are eligible for Group Health Insurance after ninety (90) days of employment. Terminix and the employee shares in the cost of the coverage, with the employee’s portion paid on a pre-tax basis through payroll deduction. Dependent coverage is also available.

Paid time off

Terminix believes that team members should have the opportunity to enjoy time away from work to help balance their lives. This benefit contains provisions for vacation time and sick leave. The benefits of PTO are that it promotes a flexible approach to time off. Employees are accountable and responsible for managing their own PTO hours to allow for adequate reserves if there is a need to cover vacation, illness or disability, appointments, emergencies, extended bereavement leave, or other needs that require time off from work. After 90 days of employment, team members will begin accruing time off which will appear on check stubs. They may use this time as it becomes available to them. 401(k) retirement plan

Terminix provides a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan to enable employees to defer part of their salary in planning for retirement. Employees may contribute an unlimited percentage of their gross wages (per IRS regulations) and those contributions are not subject to income taxes until withdrawn from the plan. After one year of service, the company will match contributions at the rate of 25% for each dollar contributed up to the first 4% the employee contributes. Employees are eligible to participate the first of the quarter following their 90-day anniversary.

Group dental insurance

New employees are eligible to apply for Group Dental Insurance after 90 days of employment. Family dental is available as a package along with the company’s medical coverage. Dental coverage for the family is paid by the employee on a pre-tax basis through payroll deduction.

Group life insurance

New employees are eligible to apply for Group Life Insurance after 90 days of employment. Dependent life is also available if the dependents are covered under the group health plan. Dependent life coverage is paid by the employee through payroll deduction.

Paychecks — direct deposit

Full time employees who receive a draw will be paid on the 15th and last day of the month. If the payday falls on a weekend or holiday, payday will be on the Friday preceding the weekend or holiday. Employees who are paid on an hourly basis are paid on a bi-weekly basis every other Friday. Employees may elect to have some or all of each paycheck directly deposited into one or more checking or savings accounts.

Credit union membership

Terminix is a member of Summit Credit Union and encourages employees interested in joining to visit the Credit Union and open an account. Employees may choose
to have their payroll direct deposited into their credit union account.

Promote from within policy

Terminix believes in promoting from within whenever a motivated and hardworking employee indicates an interest in an open opportunity. We provide training to help
employees do their current job better and be prepared to take on the challenges of their new position. More than half of our managers have been promoted up through the ranks.
